The end of lockdown enabled the completion of a local project, two years in the making.
A private client commissioned us to clad two chalet homes on the Worcestershire - West Midlands border. The client aimed to achieve a traditional stone facade with complimentary window and door features but, without the permanence of conventional materials.
In order to meet with planning proposals, the buildings had to remain mobile. Our products were chosen due to their traditional finishes and lightweight properties. There was no need for wet trades or building from the ground, upwards.
The main facade cladding is our reconstituted coursed stone, complimented by smooth stone effect window and door surrounds, with quoins and trims to finish corners and edges.
All products were made to measure, with a site fitting plan, to enable 'just-in-time' delivery and rapid installation.
The finished result was in keeping with the client's vision and, satisfied building control that the buildings were movable if necessary.
The client decided to clad a permanent utility building, to match the lodgings.
