We have recently had the pleasure of contributing to a commercial to residential conversion in the commuter town of Godalming, Surrey.
'The Tannery' is a former office block which has undergone a modern transformation into 1 & 2 bed Apartments as well as two spacious Penthouses.
Commissioned by Morton-Hunte Ltd for their client Marshall Eaton, GRP provided Granada Stone effect infill panels along with a bespoke entrance porch & smooth stone effect sill details.
Formerly known as 'Craven House' the client needed to give the tired and dated building a face-lift, by covering the brick walls, and breaking up the large window space with materials which would not add unnecessary weight to the existing structure. Our impressive offering of cladding textures in lightweight Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), convinced the developer to incorporate our products into the build. Luckily our 'Granada Stone' panels perfectly matched the design created by Marshall Eaton.
A bespoke entrance canopy was fabricated in the same texture, along with a smooth stone effect roof and sills to either side. Keeping to a colour scheme of black, grey and white including the popular 'Crittall' style windows, gives a sleek and contemporary finish.
The client was impressed with GRP's capability to replicate traditional material finishes and supply products which can be adapted to suit specific designs. As the developer moves on to future projects, we hope to offer a similar package and service.
